Miss Kimberly Kay Philips and Mr. Clayton Lewis Picone were joyfully united in Holy Matrimony on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 4:30 p.m. at 7F Lodge and Chapel in College Station, Texas.  Reverend Marie Mickey officiated the double-ring ceremony. Music was provided by Attic Production.  "Arioso" by Bach was played during the Prelude and the family, parents and guests were seated to "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" also by Bach.  A memory table was placed close to the ceremony to remember loved ones, who had passed and could not be there on this special day.  Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance was held at the 7F reception area.  The evening prior to the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Caffe' Capri in downtown Bryan.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. Don Philips and Mrs. Carol Stettler both of Bryan.  Kim is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Philips, formerly of Palestine, Texas and the late Lewis Gibson, formerly of Bonham, Texas and the late Ms. Cleta Taylor, formerly of Bryan.  The groom is the son of Lewis and Cheryl Picone of Bryan.  Clayton is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Wilkerson of Bryan and Mr. and Mrs. Waymon Clare of Caldwell, Texas.  Honorary grandparent in attendance was Mr. Archie "Turtle" Cathers of Bryan.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory satin, strapless bridal gown by Alfred Angelo Designs.  The beaded and sequined bodice featured an empire waist adorned with a satin ribbon and brooch. Embroidered lace covered the asymmetrical design of the dress.  The chapel length train was scalloped on the edges with embroidered lace as well as the ivory lace veil.  The bride carried a bouquet of gerbera daisies of bright pink shades, complimented with purple and white freesia flowers and wore her grandmother's wedding band in remembrance.

Attending the bride as  Maid-of-Honor was her twin sister, Beverly Philips of Round Rock, Texas.  Her bridesmaids included her sister serving as Matron-of-Honor, Christa Starck of Mannheim, Germany and the groom's sister, Ashley Picone of Mesquite, Texas.  The flower girl was Addison Starck, niece of the bride, of Mannheim, Germany.

   

Serving as Best Man was Clay Sonntag, best friend of the groom, of Bryan.  Groomsmen included Dr. Gabe Musquiz of San Antonio, and Groomslady, Nancy Commender of Houston.  Ushers included Rex Urquhart, cousin of the groom, of Bryan and friends of the groom, Gabe Castaneda of Caldwell, and Houston Carson of Rockdale, Texas. 

Members of the house party and greeters were aunts of the groom, Vikki Brasch of Rowlett, Texas, Donna Feldman of Garland, Texas and Sandra Urquhart of Bryan.

Kim is a 2001 graduate of Bryan High School and a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. She is currently employed as a Transportation Coordinator for Intelligent Logistics in Round Rock.

Clayton is a 2001 graduate of Bryan High School and a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. He is currently employed as a Supervisor for Office Depot in Cedar Park, Texas.  

Following a honeymoon cruise to the West Caribbean, the couple resides in Austin, Texas.
